This website is just for fun. We wanted to provide a place to show some of our hobbies, and perhaps be able to sell a pipe or pen (or two). Trades are always welcomed.

This is us -- John and Vicki taken at Laurel Falls, just outside of Gatlinburg, TN.  We don't live far from there and enjoy taking trips to the mountains to do a little hiking and camping.  John enjoys collecting and smoking pipes, obviously.  He also collects fountain pens and even occasionally uses them.

We also enjoy spending a bit of time on our boat at some of the local lakes, particularly Melton Hill Lake.  The boat is a 1972 Glastron, 15 1/2 foot, tri-hull, bow rider runabout.   It was bought last year and thoroughly enjoyed!  Though John's in the process of replacing the deck this winter and spring.

John's day job - I work for The University of Tennessee. Specifically for IRIS Support, on the Human Resources team. We're configuring and modifying the University's payroll and human resources software. The software is R/3 version 4.6b provided by SAP

In a previous life John worked in Human Resources for the University. He continues to be a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, CUPA-HR. He also writes web pages for two organizations, both of which are links from this site. The Knoxville Area Pipe Smokers (K.A.P.S.) Club, which is a great group of folks with an interest in collecting and smoking pipes. The other is the "official site" of the Marshfield (Massachusetts) High School, Class of 1973. Hope you enjoy them.
